TIPS FOR LOCATING LOST EMPLOYEES Our new report was designed using an amalgam of up to 20 identification repositories, which has increases the amount of useable data exponentially. With this change has come an opportunity to use the information more effectively and to achieve better results if you use the following suggestions wisely. With each report, you now receive a number of attributable name variations, addresses and other identification data, which could prove confusing upon initial review. Because of the nature of the compilation process in the software design, you are in fact receiving all attributable identification information on a given subject. We felt that you would be better served if you had all of the information we get, so that you would not have to come back to us and accrue additional changes. With this additional data comes the need for additional scrutiny from you. Fortunately, you are better equipped to know which information might best to apply so while there is a lot of data, you also have a lot to choose from to ultimately close your file. There are times that you will be overwhelmed by the amount of information, and may not be able to decide which is the most current information.In these are cases; we would like to give you one of the tricks of the trade. Create a postcard with a message that reads something like this: “Dear ___. Our company is presently holding monies due you, or other information concerning your 401(K), or other retirement plan, or your last IRS Form W-2 or 1099. Please contact this office so that we may forward this to you. We can be reached at…” Send this postcard to every address you have on the list that APSCREEN concurrently. This will direct notification to all addresses that you have on file and/or someone who knows the person sought could get in touch with them for you. In any event, you will dramatically increase the odds of successfully contacting the subject in a very short time thus allowing you to close your file. |
